How Time Flies

I remember my Mom saying the older you get the faster life goes by. It seems to be true. I can’t believe that is has been close to 4 months since I launched Idea2Delivery and posted my first blog. The sad part is that this is only my second blog. Where has the time gone?

Immediately after the launch of the new website I exhibited at the Ontario Centre’s of Excellence (OCE) Discovery 11 conference in Toronto. Discovery brings together key players from industry, academia, government, the investment community as well as entrepreneurs and students to pursue collaboration opportunities. I attended the conference to get the word out on Idea2Delivery, both the website and video series (series will be launching September 10).

In July, I attended the International Start-up Festival in Montreal which was an amazing event bringing together entrepreneurs and speakers from around the world. 2011 was the inaugural year for the event and the organizers did a great job. A three day event that I am hoping they are going to have again and again. It was awesome.

The three day event turned into a four day event for me. I was fortunate to have been sponsored to attend the Festival by iweb, a web hosting company located Montreal. iweb, a sponsor of the Festival, were giving away tickets. All I had to do was send them an e-mail explaining why I thought I should have a ticket to the Festival. I was one of six chosen to go to the Festival. But wait, it was even better – iweb invited the six companies they had chosen to attend a dinner in Montreal on the Tuesday night before the Festival started. Those that could attend the dinner were introduced to the iweb team (Sylvain, Curtis, Ian, Etienne and Stéphane (I sorry if I have missed anyone)) and were wined and dined in true Montreal fashion.

It is hard to describe the team at iweb other than saying, if I worked for a company, I would be proud to be part of their team. They introduced me to so many people at the Start-up Festival that I would never have met on my own. They are well connected with the Montreal start-up community. If you are in Montreal, you need to get to know them. Thank you iweb!

From May to August I have been working diligently on the Idea2Delivery website series. I can’t even begin to describe the roller coaster ride I have had over the past few months. But as every entrepreneur understands the ride is what it is all about and I wouldn’t change a thing. Okay, maybe one thing – I would have liked a summer vacation.

It has taken much longer than I thought (but doesn’t every good idea) to launch the Idea2Delivery video series. The first episode, The Dreaded Business Plan, which was used as a pilot to the series, has been edited and new material added. The series launches September 10. A new episode will be uploaded to the idea2delivery website every two weeks.

If you are an entrepreneur the series is for you. Sign up on our website to be informed of new episodes as they become available.

So, I have been busy over the past four months and the time has flown by. I don’t know if it because I am older and life is getting shorter or not. But I do know that all entrepreneurs are busy and I am not trying to make any excuses why I have neglected to post more frequent blogs. All I can say is that I promise to do them more often.
